Rx Pandemyk, born in February 1979 in Brooklyn, New York,is a Haitian-American music producer and lyricist. While growing up, he played the guitar and listened to different genres of music: from Julio Iglesias, Frank Sinatra, and Perry Como to various types of West Indian music. He began rapping at age 6 and was influenced by legendary hip-hop artists such as Run DMC, Doug E. Fresh, Big Daddy Kane, and Special Ed. In years to come, Wu-Tang Clan, Biggie, Nas, and Jay-Z joined the list of Pandemyk’s influences.
In 2002, his love affair with rhyming turned into a hardcore obsession for beat making when he was taught the basics of chopping and sequencing samples by a friend dubbed LexTha Butcher. Since his introduction to basic beat making, Pandemyk has really finessed his musical competence. He has transitioned from beat making to producing tracks and incorporates a variety of music genres within his production style.
